It's always pretty special when old friends ask you to photograph something important for them like their wedding day. Anne is an old college friend and I was really honored and humbled to be invited to photograph her and Colin's wedding.  Having grown up in Ottawa and only recently moved to Toronto, being back and photographing cool down to earth people in my home town was pretty nostalgic and made me miss living there. Toronto is great, but Ottawa is home. 

Needless to say, I can't wait to be back home in August to photograph their farm-side wedding.

| Josie & Mike | Downtown Toronto Wedding |

I was lucky enough to kick off this year's wedding season with Josie and Mike's wedding. This was the ultimate city wedding, I mean, Mike and his friends took the Subway to the venue , while Josie and her mom took a cab, doesn't get more downtown Toronto than that.  The private venue where they had their ceremony / reception was truly beautiful, and pretty much in the middle of downtown, but you'd never know it. The venue is pretty exclusive and private, sort of like Fight Club, and just like Fight Club, I can't really talk about it or name it, sorry! 

 I got to photograph a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony , shoot in front of a castle (that was actually a frat house!) and shoot in a vintage, rustic and beautiful venue. No complaints on my end.

Josie and Mike are incredible people and I was truly honored to be there to photograph their beautiful wedding in the heart of downtown Toronto.
