Location: Small Elopement at the Drake Hotel in Toronto

Courtney and Justin aren’t trend followers, in fact, they take pride in being themselves and they wanted their wedding day to highly reflect that aspect of their personalities.  Wanting nothing to do with the traditional big wedding and all that comes along with it, they opted for a more simple one-stop-shop approach by choosing to elope at the Drake Hotel in a minimal ceremony that had a handful of guests in attendance. Toronto is an eclectic city, with a bit of everything and anything for everyone, so if you ever dreamt of a vintage, art forward elopement vibe for your city wedding, you’re not short on options and the Drake Hotel is one that tops the list with their great food and unique rooms and amenities.

Although their wedding was alternative, it still had beautiful elements of traditional that were unique to their elopement experience. The bride wore a stunning and legitimately authentic vintage wedding dress from the 1930’s, bringing modern vintage to a new era and instead of walking the isle individually, they entered their ceremony together, hand in hand to symbolize their partnership and each read their vows to one another in an emotional and intimate ceremony inside the Drake Hotel’s private upstairs bar.

It goes without saying that the Drake Hotel has some quirky and unique art that have vintage and modern aesthetics to them, making it a perfect place for the bride and groom to elope, evoking their artistic backgrounds and appreciations.
Feast your eyes on some serious vintage elopement inspiration as Courtney and Justin went all-in on their wedding day and really made it a reflection of their inner selves. Eloping wasn’t plan B for these two, there was so much thought and feeling that went into celebrating the things that truly mattered, making the entire elopement experience one they won’t soon forget.
